Groundworks decide whether the rest of a project runs to plan or fights itself for eighteen months. A slab poured on badly compacted fill will crack no matter how good the concrete was. A road built without real drainage will fail in the first serious rain. We treat the ground as the part of the job that everything else inherits.
Our infrastructure crews work across greenfield industrial plots, plant expansions inside live facilities, and municipal road and utility packages. Most of what we do sits below finished grade, which means it is invisible on handover day and unforgiving if it was rushed.
Earthworks, excavation and grading
Cut and fill balanced from a real survey, not an assumption. Compaction tested in layers and recorded, so the results exist on paper before anything is built on top.
Site preparation and development
Clearing, levelling, access roads, laydown areas and temporary services, sequenced so the trades that follow are not waiting on each other.
Road construction and asphalt works
Subgrade, base course and asphalt to client and municipal specification, including internal plant roads built for loaded trailer traffic rather than cars.
Water, sewage and utility networks
Buried pipework, chambers, ducting and tie-ins into existing networks, with routes proven against as-built drawings before we break ground.
Stormwater and drainage systems
Falls, catchment and discharge designed around how water actually moves on the site, not just what the layout drawing shows.
The Eastern Province is a hard place to build below ground. Sabkha, high water table, aggressive sulphates in the soil and long stretches of loose sand all punish shortcuts. We plan dewatering and protection before the excavator arrives, because discovering the water table at 1.5 metres with a crew standing idle is an expensive way to learn it.
This scope rarely arrives alone. Most clients combine it with one or more of our other five disciplines under a single contract, which is the point of how we are set up — one accountable company, one schedule, one person answering for the result.
